How Can severe Depression And Panic Disorder Be Treated?

Hi, I have severe depression and terrible panic disorder. I have been put on Viibryd, Xanax, Valium. Nothing is helping! I am getting worse. I am on 100mg Zoloft, 2mg Klonopin 4 times a day, Nuerontin 100mg twice a day and Transactions 100mg at bedtime. What do I do? I am so scared.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In most of the cases, the panic disorder is associated as a comorbidity of depression.

So the main treatment is to treat the depression with proper medicine in adequate doses with a mood stabilizer and sedatives. That will help you to relief from your panic attack as well.

You can take a combination of two SSRI +one mood to stabilize and one sedative.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Sourav Ganguly, General & Family Physician
